About Me

After working nearly 20 years as an environmental microbiologist, I finally realized my dream of motherhood at the tender age of 39.  That is a long story!  It didn’t take long for me to quit my job and become the stay-at-home sort of mom that I could never see myself doing in my youth.  And yet I love it.

I’m learning to write, garden, cook and re-evaluate what is important to me and to my family.  It’s been an amazing journey.

    • Thanks, Greg. I’m having a blast writing them. I had been badgered to write a blog for a long time but it wasn’t until the Great Twinkie Fiasco that the fire was lit, so to speak. So it started with The Psychology of the Twinkie.

Sometimes the laundry doesn’t get folded, though. 🙂

  1. Thanks for your wonderful posting about Phil. He has been such a fun part of our lives over so many years. We are so saddened at his debilitated health and I have asked Carolyn to let me help her any way that I can. Please do the same. Tom Morrison

    • Thanks so much for your kind words. Dad’s decline has been very hard on many. I so appreciate you offer of assistance. I know you’re been a treasured friend to my family.
